1996 BMW 316 Fuel problem

1996 BMW 316 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 90.000 miles

I have a bmw 316 compact and as i was driving it the engine cut out then restarted then cut out again.I have checked the spark plugs which are in good condition and working i suspect a fuel problem even though the tank is a quarter full help.

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge if it's within specs and also check the injectors if they are pulsing.
