1992 BMW 316 blower switch out of power

My air conditioning blower fan not working. i checked the fuses and relay under the hood and these mark ok but the rotary fan switch in the console not responding to any speed not even at speed4. kindly advise me what to do. my bmw is obd 1 bosch motoronic.
