hi, i have a 1991 bmw 316i. i haven't moved it from the position it is in now for over a year. it was working perfect when i left it where it is now. I tried to turn it on the other day and it wont work, i recharged the battery etc but it just wont work. as opposed to cranking the engine just ticks. i know it must be something to do with the starter motor. i was just wondering if you could help by letting me know if there is anything i can do manually to get it started ? thanks. richie ;)

I am going to assume you have replaced the battery instead of just charging it. A battery left sitting for a year will most likely be as dead as a hammer.
