Blue/grey exhaust smoke

Car is having grey/blue exhaust smoke coming from the exhaust. I read online it is burning oil. What are the common problems why it would burn oil? Once the car is on it purrs like a kitten.

Hey Alex. A car will burn oil like that when there is a problem with the valve seals or sometimes the piston rings. What is happening is that the seals/rings have worn out or become slightly burnt and are now allowing a little oil to get by. That oil seeps into the cylinders while the car is running and burns, creating that bluish smoke that you are seeing.
