I have put in a new ignition switch and spark plugs. It jerks and jolts when you drive it and seems to run about a week and then the fuse blows. Any insight would be most helpful.

Hello,

This sounds to me like you have got a wiring problem in the wire going to the Engine Control Module (ECM). You will need to do a Voltage Drop Test on this wire to make sure there is no unwanted resistance on it. If none is detected then you probably have a internal problem with your vehicle's ECM. To do a voltage drop test you will need to have your vehicle running and you will need to have a multi-meter and have it set in DCV 20V setting. Place one test probe in the connector highlighted and the other in the other one connector that is highlighted. To do this you will need to back-probe the cavity with the black wire with the red stripe. You should have no more than.01V on the multi-meter. I have included a wiring diagram for you in the diagrams down below. Get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
