Blown A/C compressor fuse

I was riding down the road and all of a sudden, my A/C started blowing hot air. Took it to a mechanic and they said that my fuse keeps blowing. But it was just working perfectly fine and all of a sudden heat. They said that it could be the ground wiring, but they wouldn't know until they checked it. So, I went to a second voice and they said it was my A/C compressor going out. So, right now I don't know what to do. If I should let them check the wiring first or just buy a new compressor. Help

Hello, you want to make sure the wiring is okay, because if it's a wiring issue and it's not the compressor, you will spend a lot of money on a compressor that didn't need to be changed. What Sub model is this Yukon, the XL 2500, Denali, Denali XL 1500? I'll take a look for any Technical Service Bulletins and information, so you have a heads up before you go to another shop. And are you sure this is a 5.3liter V6, not a V8? Or you can provide your VIN number and I can look up your vehicle's specs that way.
Also does your vehicle have Auto A/C or Manual, can you set a specific temperature, or does it just have Low to High settings for the Blower motor? One more thing, which Fuse did it blow?
