Hi,

When this happens, can you get it to turn on by adjusting the temperature to a point when it should be running? Does the blower motor make any odd sounds?

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

There is a chance the blower motor is failing. The squeal you hear could be related to the motor itself.

What we need to do is check to see if it continues to get power once it stops running. At the blower motor, there will be two wires. One is blue with a brown tracer. That functions as the ground for the motor.

The power supply wire color isn't indicated on the schematic. See pic below. When the fan should be running, I need you to check if that wire has power. You can use a test light or voltmeter. If the motor is getting power, chances are it is faulty.

Let me know if that is something you are comfortable performing.

Take care,

Joe

Good job, here is a test you could have used to test it and the correct way to replace the blower motor.
