Blower motor will work but occasionally won't work. Online research says it’s a blower motor resistor and I found a part on Amazon and video for the location on other years close to mine but not my exact year. The problem is I can’t locate the resistor anywhere near where the videos of similar years show it! Does this year Altima just not have one. Parts stores don’t list anything for my year. I just bought a relay to replace it just in case. Please help.

Chances are it will be the blower motor itself. This guide can help walk you through checking for power and ground at the motor to confirm the failure:

Here is the location of the blower motor and the speed control resistor. #5 blower motor which has the resistor built inside so that worked out.

Fan Control Amplifier

Removal and Installation

The fan control amplifier is part of the blower motor. Refer to See: Blower Motor > Removal and Replacement > Blower Motor. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
