Blower motor does not turn off

When I cut the key off my blower motor still running. what could cause that?

Hi,

There was a problem with the wiring connectors at the blower motor relay, resister, and module. They weren't heavy enough to handle the power for extended periods of time. As a result, the insulation would melt causing the fan to not function or run all the time (even with the key off).

Repairs for this problem were covered by GM for 10 years or 240,000 km, but you are past the 10 years regardless of the mileage.

This is something you need to have repaired. It could cause a fire. Until you have it done, pull the blower motor relay in the relay box.
