I want to block the air intake at the base of the windshield. Probably just put tape over the hokes. Will this damage the car in anyway?

It will not damage the car but it will effect the performance of your heating and air conditioning system. This air intake is where the passenger compartment gets it fresh air from so it is not a good idea.

The reason for the vents in that cowl area is to draw in fresh air for the heater and air conditioning system.Are you sure you want to do that? Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
