blinkers choose when and when not to work

Brake lights work hazards work lights and brites work all the time the the turn blinkers however work randomly when they are working its perfect but it could suddenly decide to stop working and the re start again whats the problem is it the switch handle going up and down not aalways connecting or is it the wiring arrangment thats faultty

check the flasher unit then check for a short inwiring might be under the truck
