The rearview mirror is wigging out, also the back taillights do not work, and the blinker is hyper flashing?

This is the second time i have had this issue. The first time it just magically stopped and now it's back. So here is the issue: The backup camera in the rearview mirror is wigging out and turning on randomly even while driving down the road, and also the back taillights don't work, and the blinker is on speed. the front blinkers and the blinkers on the side mirrors work. i am baffled at what it could be. i already changed the taillight bulbs and that didn't fix anything.

Yep, I have seen the microprocessor and out inside the SJB (smart junction box) and cause this issue, to be sure we should do a CAN scan. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

Here is how to change out the SJB, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Yes, the check engine light shows issues with the drivetrain not the CAN BUS system.

okay, i brought my truck to the auto shop for an unrelated issue and asked them to check out why the back lights was not working and why the rear view back up camera was going crazy. They started pulling fuses out and putting them back in. and that worked for a day and that was yesterday. now today its back like they never did anything

Would the scanning of the CAN scan resolve that issue for good or is this going to be a bigger issue?
i know you can't tell me for sure due to you not seeing it but was wondering about that.

Well, I got it today and scanned it and there were no DTC issues. Any other ideas?

Okay, so here is the current update. Sorry it took so long but I ended up crawling under the truck and following the wires. I found some wires around the spare tire. I wiggled the wires and now it's working normal again.

I would lower the spare tire to see if the wiring harness is catch up or rubbed through. If you find damage can you please upload an image?

yeah, i have no clue what that goes to, but it's a log wire with a lot of slack.

Also, i forgot to mention that i replaced fuse 72 - Auxiliary power point (Rear). that brought power to the back, but the blinkers were still on speed. then i went down and moved those wires and bam everything is working now.

It sounds like a bad connection inside the harness, or you have a loose ground at the rear of the truck near where you are moving the harness around.

Okay, sorry, it took so long but i was able to unplug the connector to the hitch/rear bumper sensors and that seems to have fixed the issue and not the rear sensors don't work but the lights work in the rear. so, i am counting this as a temporary win.
