Today when I went to drive my car I noticed my blinkers don't make a sound, but they still work. Then I noticed that the car doesn't ding when I leave my keys in the ignition. I turned the radio down and I hear a high pitched whining sound when I accelerate. What's going on?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

There is a key reminder switch in the steering column which I feel is the issue. Here are the directions for replacement and inspection:

Also that would cause my blinkers to not make a sound when they are on? I guess I thought it would have been a relay, am I wrong? Thank you for your time.

Welcome back:

Yes, it makes a big difference with the keyless entry. They are two different systems. As far as a relay, nothing related to this. Do me a favor. Check the display in the dash where it tells you fuel mileage and back up camera. I believe there is a setting that is actually to turn blinker sound low high or off. Also, check in the owner's manual. It should indicate the procedure.

Let me know.

Welcome back again. LOL

After I made the last post, I remembered something.

I knew I saw this before. It hit me after I sent the last post. Now, if you aren't able to access the volume via the dash, it most likely will need to go to a dealer that has the proper computer software. If you look at the first picture, you will see that the volume for both is adjustable. The problem is it needs done with a computer. Here are the directions. The additional pictures correlate with these directions.

Welcome back:

Interesting but good news. LOL Honestly, today's cars are enough to drive anyone crazy. There are just too many electronics anymore and it's just getting worse.

Please let me know if it happens again and if any of the information I provided helps.

Take care,
Joe
