There are two actuators on the passenger side of my car, the bottom one is bad and has a cracked arm, and the main door one should I remove and replace the top one also? Cold air and no heat!

Hi,

There is an old saying. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. LOL If you need to get up in there to replace the door, it isn't an easy job.

I'm looking at an exploded view of the components. Is it the passenger-side air mix door that is the issue? I ask because above it, I see a mode door actuator and a fresh-air door actuator.

Take a look at the pic below and let me know. Also, let me know if it is the right side that is having the temperature issues and if this has automatic or manual climate control. Also, there is a difference between a 2-door and 4-door. So, confirm that for me as well.

One last question. When you request heat, does the A/C continue to blow cold air or do you feel the air from the outside?

Take care,

Joe
