Hot air is blown from the driver's side, and only cool air is blown from the passenger's side. Can you tell me where the blend door motor actuator is located?

Hi,

As far as the locations, I attached a picture below. Number 8 is for the driver's side and number 9 is for the passenger's side. (See pic 1)

The remaining pictures are the directions for replacing it. Note that the directions are the same for either actuator. The only difference is which actuator is being replaced. It's not too hard of a job.

Here is a link that explains in general how it is done. The pics below are specific to your vehicle.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

Thank you, this was very useful, but unfortunately there was no problem with it. I tried it by changing the temperature and it worked normally. The air still blowing from the passenger side was cold. Is there another solution?

I already have two connected on the same axis. I opened the one at the bottom and it worked when the temperature changed, but I don't know what use the one at the top does since it is tied to the same axis.

Hi,

The top one should be a separate actuator and not tied with the bottom one. If they were tied together, you wouldn't have control between the two sides. If you fully remove the actuator and manually move the door, do you get heat?

Let me know.

Joe

The two are connected to the same axis, and I do not know what the benefit of the actuator at the top is. I discovered today that when the passenger’s temperature changes to the maximum degree, the air becomes warm, not cold.

Even when I changed it manually, the air was not too hot, it was warm. These pictures show that the two pieces are connected to the same axle.

Hi,

Is it possible you have the wrong actuator? I know the mode actuator is near the temperature actuator. See pic below. Number 4 is the airflow direction actuator (mode door). I think that is the one you removed.

Just for confirmation, this has dual automatic temperature control, correct?

Let me know.

Joe

I did not remove the number 4, but I removed the number 9, and you can see it has been removed in the sent picture.

Do you have illustrative pictures of the heater core and the gates surrounding it? Does a dual-zone car have one heater core or two, and does it have a valve or two?

Hi,

There is one heater core. See pic below. As far as a valve, are you referring to the actuator? If so, there are two.

Let me know.

Joe

How are you, my friend? Sorry for the delay in responding because I did not do this. I checked the Blend Door Actuator number (9 and 8) and door Mode. They were working normally. I changed the door manually and the temperature did not change. Is there another possibility such as a temperature sensor or a blockage in the heater core? Can you tell me the location of the temperature sensor for Passenger Side?

Hi,

The sensor for the passenger side is tucked away. I attached the directions below for replacing it. However, if you moved the door manually and there was no change, I don't feel this is the issue.

Take a look through them and let me know your thoughts.

Also, this vehicle is too new for these problems. Is it still under the 3 year/36K warranty?

Let me know.

Joe

How are you, my friend? I also think that the problem is in the air mixing gate, because when I changed it manually, nothing changed, but the motor that makes the change works well.

The problem may be in the air mixing gate itself. Please send me all the diagrams related to the air mixing gate, if you have them, so that I can see how it works and try to figure out the problem.

Thank you, my friend, for sending all these pictures. But I need pictures of the blend doors that change the air from hot to cold and vice versa.
