Hello, I've recently developed a problem with my HVAC system. It is blowing hot and cold air when I demand it, but air will not flow through the face vents, only the defrost and floorboard vents. The research I have looked through tells me it's the blend door actuator, in which I assumed as well, but the further I got into searching I have found out that there is more than one actuator for the HVAC and I have no clue as to which actuator needs to be changed for changing modes on my ventilation system. Any tips?

Hello,

It sounds like the issue is a stuck mode door actuator.
The Mode actuator is what controls where the air will flow.
The mode door actuator is located on the side of the HVAC box, mounted with two screws.

I have attached the replacement procedure below.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

Thank you for responding, I am not really familiar with this part of the truck, I know the blend door actuator is behind the stereo screen, is the mode actuator down by the gas petal? Or is it all the same actuator?

The mode door is a separate part. It is located on the left side of the HVAC box.
