I tried removing the blend door (located above gas pedal), but I am unable to because the screws are on the reverse side.
What should I do?

Good morning.
What function is not working?
I want to be sure you are repalacing the correct one as there are several.
Is this the one you are replacing?

Yes, the image you provided is correct. My car is only blowing hot air even on the coldest setting. I had the HVAC evacuated and refilled with r 134a but that did not fix the problem.
I had HVAC diagnostic done and the shop told me the problem was the blend door actuator.

Did you remove the shield shown in the picture? Once you do, the motor is right there and just need to remove the three screws and remove.
