Black smoke tailpipe emission either during start or idling and continuous after driving. Stop sometimes during driving acceleration I feel like some relay in auto shifting and as the engine is under load until black smoke puff exits forcefully from tailpipe at that time. I feel the auto shifting change smoothly and the engine free from distress. What causes of this black smoke black smoke puffing from tail pipe? Why auto shifting delay happens?

Black smoke normally indicates a too rich fuel mixture. There could be a sensor sending the wrong info to the computer and thus the computer adjusting the fuel trim wrong for them conditions. So, with that in mind, I would suggest you start by having the engine trouble codes retrieved from the DIC and the engine control computer module.

If there are no fault codes that reflect an over fueling problem, i would then get the injectors flow tested just to make sure you do not have a leaking injector. also, check that fuel pressure is correct.
