I HAVE A BLACK BOX HANGING DOWN ON A 2007 CHEVY EQUINOX RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GAS TANK. 4 SCREWS HOLD IT IN AND IT HAS A SENSOR. IT APPEARS TO HAVE 2 PLASTIC "QUICK CONNECTS", ONE GOING IN AND ONE COMING OUT. EVERYTHING IS PLASTIC AND IT SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS SAND OR SOMETHING ON THE INSIDE OF IT.

3 out of 4 screw holes are busted. I went through a huge puddle cuz the highway was flooded as a result of some severe thunderstorms and I am guessing the pressure from the water blew it off. I looked up that part on Advanceautoparts. Com website and it doesnt look anything like it. Any other suggestions?

If it looks similar to the pic I'm sending it's the evap canister it has 4 bolts holding it on. You should never drive through water deeper than a couple of inches.

I know but the highway was completely flooded so I had no other choice. I couldn't exactly turn around on a 3 lane highway, ya know?
