Belt replacement

So, i have a belt squealing and when i turn the steering wheel it sometimes shuts off or is difficult and feels like its skipping. now is the belt or do i need something else?

Hi,

Have you checked to make sure the fluid is full? If it is, then I suspect it is the belt in need of adjustment. First, inspect the belt. Make sure there is no evidence of damage, cracks, or any fluids getting on it. Make sure it feels tight as well. See pic 1 below for Power Steering belt location.

If you look at pic 2, it shows how to check the PS fluid level and condition.
