I need to know How do I adjust the tension on my alternator belt. I replaced the alternator but now my belt is very loose, I have tried looking online and I cannot even find a picture of what the belt tensioner looks like.

Alternator is bolted to base and another bolt on top which has a bracket. Loosen the upper bolt and if there is an adjusting bolt, turning the bolt clockwise would tighten the slack. If no adjuster bolt is available, you wold need a bar to pry the alternator outwards to get the required tension.

Ensure you have the correct sized belt.
