Yes, I have replaced the alternator four times in six weeks, new battery. The last time I put the alternator on the belt slipped off and someone put it back on but it does not look the same as before and I noticed cracks on the belt. Could that be causing for the alternator and battery not to charge?

Recommended belt replacement as well as tension-er is 60,000 miles. Do not go by cracks any oil or any foreign liquid destroys the belt. Check fusible link as that may be blown it should be same voltage on both sides if not replace it. You did not send model so look between battery and fuse box under hood. Also, check for pulleys out of line so belt will not slide off again and proper routing.

Check items in pictures make sure grounds are good as well as fusible links. Test fuses with a test light as it may not have power on one side. Key must be on for fuses.
Also, check alignment of belt with a straight edge or pulleys that wobble must be replaced.
