Lost compression, just had a drive belt replaced by miners on the way home from Midas Might. the car lost power and stopped running has not turned over again since then had the car towed to Midas Might. They are telling me that the changing of the drive belt has nothing to do with the car now having one, two and three and bent valves in the engine has nothing to do with what the work they had done. there was no noise no screaming of any noise from the engine prior to it just shutting off. is it possible that has it wrong?

sounds as if they have not set the tension-er correctly, that would be about the only cause if it was running and then slipped teeth and bent valves. i would put that to them and see what they say.

Yes they said that the tension-er has stopped and that is what caused it. but it was working fine until I drove it home from the shop after getting a drive belt put on.

That is part of the job they did. They should cover it the repair they did had not been done correctly in the first place.
