Dear team,

I am getting a battery display light on dashboard. It has been checked with a mechanic who repaired the alternator a month ago and the light has been gone for a month but now it's started displaying again. When I consulted with the mechanic he checked and everything seemed fine like current, voltage etc. I have no problem at all starting the car or any stutter noise that indicates any problem with the battery.

Can you please advise what could be the cause of this?

Thank you in advance.
Bilal

The first thing we need to do is check the charging voltage while the engine is running at idle. Here is a guide to help you:

Please go over this guide and get back to us.

So, it is charging at 14 volts with the battery light on, correct? Can you do the same test only check for AC voltage? You could have a diode out and the system is getting AC voltage that it should not. If you go over the guide again it will show you what I am talking about.
