Battery post issue?

Hep, you need a longer bolt for the cable end, this will allow the bolt to get more of a "bit" on the threads for the battery terminal. This is a common 3/8 thread size, (course), you can get it at any hardware store, bring the old bolt with you, you may need some washers to get the spacing and the correct fitment. Thanks for the images. Let me know if you need anything else.

Definitely need a longer bolt now for more bite. I have had good luck with Ace Hardware for stuff like this.

so these are not typical battery bolts that can be found easily? I would have thought this is an oem battery bolt

You will need a washer/nut to step up the head of the bolt but yes you can use a regulator bolt. You want to space the head of the bolt outwards. Nice to see ya KRAKENAUTO!

I will remove it and take it with me, so far could not find anything similar at advance, this is not a 3/8 as I ordered a pair of 3/8 that were wayyyyy too small, this is a large bolt and the head has to be tightened using a 9/16 wrench. So far all I see are the small 3/8 ones

3/8 course is the thread size not the head of the bolt, sorry.

ya I know. Both head size and thread size are way smaller. I will shoot you pictures of the battery, cables and bolts tomorrow

Turned out it was the right size, because I thought with the head size being 14mm it just looked bigger overall. Looking at this common 3/8 it looked way smaller but now comparing them and installing them it makes sense.
