Battery not holding charge?

I replace the alternator a few months ago with one from the junkyard. I also replaced the battery with a brand new battery from the store and brand new terminals for the battery because I was having connections problems. I have to jump the car off and as long as the cables are connected, the van runs fine and I was fine. As soon as I remove the cables the battery light on the dashboard comes on immediately and I start to lose power within 30 seconds to a minute of driving. Even with a brand new battery it was losing power within the first minute. I then charge the brand new battery for 3 hours on a battery charger and put it in my car, started it, and it died instantly.

Okay, the first thing we need to do is charge the battery up so the engine start, then once the engine is running lets test the alternator output, here is a guide:

You may have a defective alternator or another problem but we need to know if it charging or not?
