I got a new battery, new alternator, and a new alternator belt but my battery is not keeping charge. The battery light is on and so is the immobilizer light

Hi,

First, we need to check if the alternator is producing a charge. All you need is either a voltmeter or a multimeter. Here is a link that explains how it's done:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-alternator

If it isn't producing, then next I need you to check ECU fuse in the under-hood fuse box. Check the fuse and confirm there is power to and from it. Here is a link showing how it's done:

If the fuse checks good, go to the alternator. Locate the blue wire and the black wire. Check for power at each. If you find one has no power, let me know which one so I can explain what to fix.

Here is a link that explains how to test wiring:

I attached the wiring schematic below (pics 1 and 2). I had to cut the one page schematic in half to make it readable. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

Also, pic 3 shows the fuse to check in the under-hood fuse box.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
