Replaced the negative terminal and the battery yesterday and my battery light went off. This morning the car started and drove around the corner and my battery light came back on and won’t go off.

Hi,

We need to determine if the alternator is doing its job. All you need is either a multimeter or voltmeter to test it. Follow the directions in this link and let me know the results:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-alternator

If that fails, then you will need to remove the alternator and have it bench tested. I say that because the voltage is regulated by the PCM and not an internal regulator. So, we can't use traditional testing.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care.

Joe

PS: Let me know what size engine it has so I can review the wiring schematics that are relevant.
