Yes, my car battery light comes on and off, but it happens when I floor it why I loose power for a second.

If the light turns on only under heavy acceleration, chances are either the belt is loose, or you have a loose connection at some point.

First, confirm the alternator belt is tight. Next, check the battery terminals to make sure they are clean and tight.

Next, I attached the charging system wiring system. Check the fuses to confirm they are clean and tight. Additionally, the black wire with an orange tracer should have battery voltage at all times. Check it. While checking it, wiggle the wire to make sure the voltage doesn't change. This would be a good suspect due to the fusible link. The connection may be starting to fail.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Is it possible that my amp and speakers have something to do with it?

Hi,

Anything is possible, but I would think that is unlikely. How do you have the amp wired?

Have you been able to check the connectors and wiring and other things mentioned above?

Let me know.

Hi,

Just as a test, disconnect the power supply for the amp and see if the same thing happens. It could be drawing excessive amperage.

Let me know.
