I just recently replaced my alternator and got a new battery. However, when I'm driving the battery light turns on for about 2 seconds and it goes away. 2-5 minutes it turns on and goes away again, sometimes it stays on for 3 or 5 seconds and goes off. I'm not sure what else the problem could be. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

Sure, it sounds like you got a defective alternator. I would take it back and get another one. Here are the instructions on how to replace the alternator correctly. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
