Anytime there is a battery drain there will be heat associated with the problem. I would start (truck cold, battery fully charged) by checking the cigarette lighter, then lift the hood and check the alternator for heat or warmth. Also, a CAN scan will help test the system, which is easy to do. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon.
