While driving the batteries installed at the back seems to be heating and one can feel the heat in the rear seats.

Is this normal or something is going wrong?

Good morning.

If you mean the hybrid batteries, yes, something is wrong. You should not feel heat from them at all.

There is insulation between them and the car. Make sure the insulation is intact.

Since it is a hybrid, do not look into this as the high voltage can kill you if you touch something you should not touch. Leave this to a professional accustomed to repairing hybrid vehicles.
