Charge battery as I thought it was dead. Charged the battery and put back in connected my amplifier to it and car only runs for about five days before it dies.

You are connecting an amplifier that I am guessing draws a lot more current than the charging system is designed to keep up with. This not only will ruin the alternator but it will also ruin the battery.

Sure, get rid of the over sized amp. The car is not engineered to handle it.

The Fiesta must have had a larger alternator that can handle it, see if anyone makes a more powerful alternator for it, that would help.
