The car started quick okay then just shut off. When I tried to start it again it just cranked up. I later noticed when the key was turned on, battery and engine check lights were not coming on.

John

Hey KALIMA,

I don't have the specifics for your vehicle here.

I would advise always the first step in the case of electrical faults would be to check the fuses.

Please check all fuses in the under hood and interior fuse box's.

The location of these will be shown in your vehicle manual.

A guide below will show you the process of checking and replacing fuses.

Let us know what you find here.

Regards, Joe

I tried everything the engine and battery check lights never came on. Guess I just have to bring in an electrician to come check the wiring. I believe there's just some cut or loose connection somewhere. Thanks

Can you turn the headlights on it sounds like the battery could have shorted out. Here is a guide to help. By the way, the AVENSIS is the same as Corolla.

Please run down this guide and report back. Here are the fuse panel locations and diagrams.

So, when you say the engine didn't start did you mean the engine would crank and not run or the engine does not crank over (starter operation)?

Please go over this guide and get back to us.
