Battery drained

Car ran, battery died put new battery in and car is still completely dead. Could the crank sensor do this?

No. Please double check and make sure that the battery terminals have a nice tight, clean, corrosion free, connection. If they are then it appears that your vehicle has a bona fide parasitic draw issue. Here is a link to a guide below that explains what is going on and possible causes:
