Battery replacement, do I need to disconnect the negative cable first?

I need to change the battery. 100% of people say to disconnect negative terminal 1st, but this is impossible on Peugeot partner.

You can disconnect the positive side first but please make sure you don't touch anything with the tool against ground because you will have a direct short. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Hello NOCKSTER74,

This video should help as well. From what I can find your vehicle is designed to have the positive removed first. Then Install in reverse order. Looks like there are a couple of modules that will need to be moved to give you room to slide out the battery.

Yeah, I had previously watched video, it just unnerved me that everyone was taking neg terminal off 1st, but everything went okay. Thanks for your help.
