Do I need to disconnect the battery when I go on vacation for four months as no one will be able to drive it?

you should as there is always a slight draw on it from the electronics and that amount of time could draw it down to nothing. the most you will have to do is to reset security system to start and get radio code if yours is needed to make it work once more.
