Battery is fully charged. I am trying to do security reset turn ignition to second position and waited for the first ten minutes. Right at 10 minutes it started flashing the car and lock symbol on the dashboard. I turned ignition off and then back on second for next ten minutes. But it's still clucking. I ignored the clicking and turned ignition to second position to wait next ten minute. N it has been clicking the whole time so far. Although clicking has changed in speed.

Hi,

It sounds like you are doing the 30 minutes relearn procedure. Does the security light stay on steady when you turn the key to the on position?

Also, what is clicking? Is it coming from the starter, a relay, or somewhere under the dash? Is it loud enough for you to record and upload for me to hear?

Let me know.

Joe

Yes! That's what I tried! I must have done it wrong cause there's no power at all. Before I tried the car clock and interior lights were on. Now there's nothing! No engine light or car with lock on it, nothing! I'm not sure but I think clicking noise (when I was turning car to second spot on ignition) was coming from under the hood. I'm so lost and frustrated! Thank you for responding!

Hi,

Are you certain the battery is good? If you have a voltmeter or multimeter, check to see the voltage at the battery. Also, make sure the terminals are clean and tight. It isn't uncommon for a loose or corroded connection to do what you are experiencing.

Take a look through this link:

We need to start at the source, the battery, and move from there. Let me know what size engine is in the vehicle. It could be a 2.4L, 3.5L, or a 3.6L. If you find no issues with the battery, I can start looking through wiring schematics to see where there could be a loss of power.

Also, let me know if anything works. For example, the brake lights, headlamps, horn, and anything you can think of that is electric.

Take care,

Joe
