I need to know what fuses control the heating circuit for bank 2 sensor1?
Can you please tell me what the wiring colors are that come from VCM that provide 12v to bank2 sensor 1.
I need to check if there is voltage coming from VCM.
thank you

Hi,

Power is supplied the engine 1, 20-amp fuse in the under-hood fuse box. When you check this fuse, make sure there is power to and from it. It will only have power with the key in the run or start position.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

I attached two pics below and highlighted the relevant wiring for bank 2 sensor 1. Two wires go to the VCM, and one is from the power supply mentioned.

Take a look and let me know if it helps.

Take care,

joe

Hi,

I attached the portion of the VCM that the sensor signals go to. Both wires are in connector 1 at the VCM and are pins 19 and 25. See pics below. Note, the C1 connector will be blue in color.

As far as the site providing it, they come from Alldata. It isn't a free site, so if you need anything specific, let me know and I'll get it for you.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

I attached the information below. Pic 2 is a pinout of the connector. Each wire in pic 1 is identified with a letter. The two pics work in conjunction with each other.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

The one going to the "low" reference will provide a ground path. The other is a voltage signal. It should be 5v. See pic below

Let me know.

Hi,

If you are checking for a signal from the VCM, check at the connector.

Let me know.

I replace both upstream 02 sensors with some denso 02 sensors
i drove it around for about a half hour without check engine light coming on, It runs better, but there is still a little feeling like not getting enough gas. I did a fuel leak pressure test when running I got 55 psi. I don't know the correct psi for my 1996 chevy truck 5.7l motor. Can you let me know the psi when running. Thanks

Hi,

The manual only provides pressure with the engine off. See pic below for pressure specifications.

While the engine is running, the fuel pressure should drop about 5 psi, from the static prime pressure. If you snap the throttle, the fuel system pressure should jump up about 5 PSI.

Take a look at this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

Based on the pressure you got with it running, it sounds like the pump is working as it should.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say inlet valve. Could you upload a pic of it?

Also, I attached the vacuum schematic below for you. Additionally, here is a link that explains how to check for leaks:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-an-engine-vacuum-gauge

I may have already asked this, but if you have a live data scan tool, could you let me know what the short-term fuel trims are?

Let me know.

Joe
