Need to replace upstream 02 sensor Bank1/sensor1. Which side of vehicle? I pass or driver? Thanks

Bank one is the cylinder bank on the passenger or right side of the engine. What is the reason for replacement? Shorted heater or slow response?

Yes, had a bad sensor so needed to replace to get CEL off. Drove 30 miles and passed smog. All good, thanks!
