Bad rear shocks causing tires to wear down

Need to know how to remove old rear shocks in 2007 VW Passat. Then put new shocks in.

remove the rear wheels
support the lower control up with a jack
remove the lower shock bolt and then remove the upper 2 shock bolts Shock should be able to be removed from vehicle at this point. Reinstall in opposite order.
