I got my vehicle checked out and was told that the head gaskets need to be replaced and it's going to cost me $3,000.00 to get it done. But I was also told that I could put some fluid in the radiator and it would fix the problem so I wouldn't have to pay all that money which I don't have. So I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what would be the best thing to use for the head gaskets? I would really appreciate any advice I could really use it. It doesn't smoke it sounds good doesn't overheat when in idle but can't drive it because it will overheat quick.

HI,

I have to be honest, I don't like using such products, but I know they exist and understand your situation. Please understand that if you use such a product, it usually is only a temporary fix, if it works at all.

Regardless, there are many different products that are available for head gasket issues. I am not supposed to recommend products, but the one that I have heard works is by a company called Blue Devil. I personally have never used it but know people that have.

The one thing that I can tell you is this. If you decide to use any product, you have to follow the directions indicated on the bottle exactly as they are listed.

If, on the other hand, you have a bit of mechanical ability and what to replace the gaskets yourself, I can provide the directions. Chances are you will have a couple hundred dollars in parts, but I'm not going to lie, it's a lot of work.

Please feel free to ask any questions you have or to let me know if I can help. Again, I have never used the aforementioned product. I was just told it worked for others.

Take care,
Joe
