My car did not start about seven days ago. I towed my pathfinder to the mechanic shop. After charging fuel pump and new battery. He is saying is my ECM IS fried. After spending over $750.00 I decided to tow it to another shop for second opinion. The second shop is telling me could be ignition key has lost the programming or could be the ECM is fried. Both shops their scanner is not able to connect to car computer. They have checked all the fuses and relays. Just add one more information few hours before this the problem the car was giving very bad rotten egg smell. Anyone has any suggestions would be grateful before I spend more unnecessary money.

The no communication problem is the issue if all of the fuses are good it sound like the computer has gone bad which happens. I would try to get a used one and plug it in. Here is the location (below) near the coolant reservoir so you can get the job done:

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
