Backfires

When you first start it and give it throttle it wants to backfires.

Good morning,

Backfires are the result of spark occurring when it should not be.

Some possibilities

1. Cracked distributor cap or bad rotor.

2. Ignition wires shorting out.

3. Retarded ignition timing from bad timing chain.

4. Lean fuel mixture from low fuel pressure or clogged injectors.
