Idles fine. Drives fine, but when you get on the gas demanding power from the motor it bogs down and backfires. Things that have been changed; temperature control sensor, whole TBI rebuild , timing has been checked and is right on. Fuel filter changed, spark plugs , wires, cap and rotor , map sensor, cleaned EGR.

Hi,

Is it backfiring through the exhaust or intake? Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps. Also, let me know from where it backfires.

Hi Joe,

The backfire to this truck is through the intake and up in the TBI. By your videos I have been watching I am thinking the fuel pump is not doing right. So I’m just going to replace it. Will see what happens. I’ll let you know.
