Axle seal

I wanted to ask if the front axle shaft seal are compatible on both sides. I had called my local auto part store but they only have passenger side seal but I need to replace drivers side.

I notice a leak front drivers side CV shaft coming from the transmission seal.

Okay, in that case there are two different transmissions used. However in both versions the left and right seals are different. It isn't a big difference as it amounts to 1 mm difference in the thickness of the seals. The left side is 7.5 mm thick while the right is 8.5 mm.
