AX4N transmission. Car starts good, idles fine maybe a little low, but as I put it in gear and step on brake the car shuts off! I don't get any OBD2 codes. Any help with this problem would be very much appreciated!

Hello,

This could be a problem with your Idle Air Control valve (IAC) or a vacuum leak. I have included a couple of links below that will take you to guides for troubleshooting your vehicle. Please go through them and let us know what you find out.

I did do vacuum leak check, did not find none I did check brake booster and heard air escape on pedal side but I could only hear a little bit of air when engine has been off an fairly press the brake pedal. I changed brake booster and still have same problem so as I was checking fuses again. I found fuse 37 and 38 not showing any current with ignition on engine running. Also I checked and cleaned AIC as instructed. So now I am back to square one rechecking, any ideas will be very much be appreciated.

Hello again,

Well, if the fuses are blown then we definitely want to replace them with the same amperage fuses. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, I have included a link to a guide for you down below.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

But before we replace the fuses, we have to figure out why they were blown in the first place. In the diagrams down below I have tests for you to run on both of the components that these fuses protect, as well as a diagram and location of the fuse box the fuses are in down below in the diagrams. Please go through these tests and get back to us with what you find out, please.

Thanks,
Alex
