Automatic transmission problems

Two problems, automatic transmission drops out it drive into third gear after it warms up, all other gears work. Next is the oil light comes on after about ten miles of driving. There is no knocking and oil level is good. Transmission fluid is also good.

Is this a three speed or four speed transmission? If it is four speed the D will have a circle around it.

The oil light may be the sender unit. I would suggest trying that first before getting into talking about the internals of the motor.
