Automatic transmission fluid

Hi, my automatic car listed above will not change gear going up hill unless I take foot of pedal and repress. It also clunks when changing. Does this indicate the transmission fluid is low?
Also, where do and how do you check on this model? It is a Renualt automatic.1.4. M reg. 2002.

Hello,

it sounds like you have a catalytic converter that is partially plugged. When this happens it lowers the engine vacuum making the transmission shift hard and late. Here is a guide to help you see if the cat is the problem.
