Sometimes when I shift into reverse it grinds like the park pin is stuck and will not engage into reverse. if I move the shifter back and forth it will backup just fine. I adjusted the shifter cable, but did not change anything. a local transmission shop says the shifter fork is worn out and to pull a cover off the end of the transmission and change it out. does anyone know if this is possible?
